How Sagacity Nexus protects and handles your personal information when you work with us on NFT marketplace and platform development projects.

Last Updated: February 2025

Who We Are

Sagacity Nexus operates from Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, where we build custom NFT marketplaces and blockchain platforms. When you reach out for a consultation or work with us on a project, we collect certain information to deliver our services effectively.

This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it secure. We're based in Taiwan, so we follow local regulations including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), but we also respect international privacy standards because many of our clients come from different countries.

Information We Collect

The information we gather depends on how you interact with us. Most of it comes directly from you when you contact us or during our project work together.

Contact Information
Name, email address, phone number, company name, and business address when you reach out through our contact form or email
Project Details
Technical requirements, business goals, budget ranges, timeline expectations, and any specific NFT marketplace features you need
Communication Records
Email conversations, meeting notes, project discussions, and feedback you share during development
Payment Information
Billing address and payment records (actual payment processing happens through secure third-party services)
Technical Data
IP address, browser type, device information when you visit our website (basic analytics to improve site performance)

We don't collect sensitive personal information like health records, religious beliefs, or political affiliations. And we definitely don't need access to your cryptocurrency wallets or private keys—anyone asking for those isn't looking out for your security.

How We Use Your Information

Everything we collect serves a specific purpose related to building your NFT platform or answering your questions about our services.

Project Delivery

Your contact and project details help us understand what you're trying to build, create accurate proposals, and stay in touch throughout development. When you tell us about your marketplace vision, we need that information to design something that actually fits your needs.

Communication

We use your email and phone number to send project updates, answer technical questions, and coordinate meetings. If you've signed up for our newsletter (which is completely optional), we might share industry insights about NFT marketplace trends or blockchain development updates.

Service Improvement

Anonymous website analytics tell us which pages people find helpful and where they get stuck. This helps us make the site more useful. We also learn from past projects to refine our development process and better serve future clients.

Legal Requirements

Sometimes we need to keep records for tax purposes or comply with Taiwan business regulations. In rare cases, we might need to share information if legally required by authorities, though we'll push back on overly broad requests.

Taiwan Privacy Regulations

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you have specific rights about how we handle your information. We comply with PDPA requirements for data collection notification, usage limitations, and security protection. If you have questions about how Taiwan law applies to your data, we're happy to explain in plain language.

Sharing Your Information

We don't sell your data to advertisers or marketing companies. That's not our business model. However, we do work with a few trusted partners who help us deliver services.

Service Providers

Payment processors handle transactions securely (we use established services that comply with financial regulations). Email hosting keeps our communications running. Cloud storage providers hold project files during development. These partners only access what they need to do their job, and they're bound by their own privacy policies.

Project Collaborators

If your project requires specialized skills—maybe smart contract auditing or advanced blockchain infrastructure—we might bring in trusted technical partners. We only share relevant project details, never more than necessary, and always with your knowledge.

Business Transfers

If Sagacity Nexus were ever acquired or merged with another company (not planning on it, but being thorough here), your information would transfer to the new entity. We'd notify you beforehand and ensure they maintain similar privacy standards.

International Transfers: Some of our service providers operate servers outside Taiwan. When your data crosses borders, we make sure those providers offer adequate protection through standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Your Rights and Control

Your information belongs to you. We're just holding it temporarily to build your platform. Here's what you can do with it:

Access Your Data

Request a copy of everything we have about you. We'll provide it in a readable format within 15 business days.

Correct Mistakes

Found outdated information or errors? Let us know and we'll fix it promptly.

Delete Information

Ask us to remove your data (unless we need it for legal reasons or active projects). We'll confirm deletion within 30 days.

Limit Processing

Request that we only use your information for specific purposes, like completing an existing project.

Object to Use

Disagree with how we're using your data? Speak up. We'll review and adjust if possible.

Data Portability

Get your information in a format you can transfer to another service provider.

How to Exercise These Rights

Send an email to support@sagacity-nexus.com with your request. Include enough detail so we can locate your information (name, email, project reference if applicable). We'll verify your identity—usually by confirming through your registered email address—then process your request.

Most requests get handled within two weeks. If something's complicated and takes longer, we'll let you know the timeline and keep you updated.

Data Security Measures

Given that we build blockchain platforms, security isn't just a compliance checkbox for us—it's fundamental to what we do.

Technical Protections

  • Encrypted connections (TLS/SSL) for all data transmission between your browser and our servers
  • Encrypted storage for sensitive project files and client information at rest
  • Regular security updates and patches for all systems and software we use
  • Firewalls and access controls limiting who can view client data internally
  • Secure backup systems with encrypted storage in multiple geographic locations

Organizational Safeguards

Only team members working directly on your project can access your information. We use role-based permissions so developers see technical specs while project managers handle business details. Everyone on our team signs confidentiality agreements.

We review access logs periodically to catch any unusual activity. Our workstations require strong authentication, and we use password managers to avoid weak credentials.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours along with details about what happened and what we're doing to fix it.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We don't keep information longer than necessary. Storage duration depends on the type of data and why we collected it:

Active Projects

During project development, we retain everything needed to build and support your platform. This includes communications, technical specifications, design files, and project history.

Completed Projects

After project completion, we keep essential records for three years. This covers warranty support, potential follow-up questions, and our own quality improvement analysis. Technical documentation stays longer if you're on a maintenance agreement.

Financial Records

Taiwan tax regulations require us to maintain billing and payment records for seven years. After that, they're securely destroyed.

Marketing Communications

If you've subscribed to our newsletter, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Every email includes a simple opt-out link.

Inquiry Records

Contact form submissions and initial consultations are kept for one year. If the conversation doesn't lead to a project, your information is deleted after this period unless you ask us to remove it sooner.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses minimal tracking because we care more about having real conversations than collecting visitor data.

Essential Cookies

These keep the website functioning properly—remembering your language preference, maintaining secure connections, and preventing form resubmission errors. You can't really turn these off without breaking the site.

Analytics Cookies

We use basic analytics (similar to Google Analytics but privacy-focused alternatives when possible) to understand which content helps visitors and where people struggle. This data is anonymized and aggregated—we can't identify individual users.

No Advertising Tracking

We don't use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, or social media pixels. We're not following you around the internet trying to retarget you with ads.

Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies anytime. Just know that blocking essential cookies might affect site functionality.

Children's Privacy

Our services target businesses and adult professionals in the blockchain space. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old. If we discover we've accidentally gathered data from a minor, we'll delete it immediately.

Parents or guardians who believe their child's information ended up in our systems should contact us right away at support@sagacity-nexus.com.

Changes to This Policy

Privacy practices change as technology and regulations shift. When we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a revised date at the top.

For minor clarifications or typo fixes, we'll just update the document. For significant changes affecting how we handle your data, we'll send an email notification to active clients and recent contacts at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Continuing to work with us after policy updates means you're comfortable with the changes. If you're not, reach out and we'll discuss your concerns or help you exercise your data rights.

Third-Party Links

Our website might link to external resources—blockchain documentation, industry articles, or partner services. Once you click through to another site, this privacy policy no longer applies. We can't control how other websites handle your information, so check their own privacy policies.

We try to only link to reputable sources, but we're not responsible for third-party privacy practices.
